Ivory Gun Grips
Ivory Gun Grips for 1911s and Revolvers
Real elephant ivory is restricted under the Endangered Species Act, CITES, and the Lacey Act. Buying ivory legally isn’t realistic for most people. Our ivory gun grips are faux ivory grips, resin or acrylic finished to match the classic cream-white look, no restrictions, no paperwork.
Ivory grips have topped 1911s and revolvers for generations, and they haven’t gone out of style. Every set here is cut to fit your exact model, with hardware included on most sets and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Faux Ivory 1911 Grips for Colt, Kimber, and Government Clones
Most of our ivory selection fits the 1911 platform: Colt, Rock Island, Remington, Taurus, and other Government-model clones. Our ivory 1911 grips range from plain acrylic panels to scrimshaw scroll designs and medallion styles in Colt, US flag, eagle, and Texas Star designs.
Want the ivory 1911 look without going full white? Our carved rosewood grips with an ivory accent inlay soften the finish while keeping that classic contrast. Prefer more grip texture underneath? Check our G10 Grips category for 1911 ivory G10 grips.
Faux Ivory Revolver Grips for Heritage, Ruger, and Smith & Wesson
Ivory grips aren’t only a 1911 look. We carry ivory revolver grips for the Heritage Rough Rider .22 and .22 Magnum, Ruger Wrangler Birdshead frames, and Smith & Wesson J-Frame round butt revolvers. Birdshead-style ivory pistol grips pair especially well with this finish since the rounded shape shows it off without a medallion competing for attention.
Heritage Rough Rider options come plain, scrimshaw, or paired with skull and eagle medallions. Ruger Wrangler Birdshead ivory grip revolver sets are available across Vaquero and New Vaquero frames too. If your revolver isn’t listed here, browse our full Rubber Gun Grips category or contact us before ordering to confirm fit. All revolver ivory grips are acrylic and drop-in, no gunsmithing required.

FAQs
Are ivory gun grips illegal?
No, not the ones we sell. Faux ivory grips are legal to buy, own, and ship anywhere in the US. What’s restricted is real elephant ivory, not the resin and acrylic used to reproduce its look.
What's the difference between real ivory grips and faux ivory grips?
Real ivory grips come from elephant tusks and are heavily regulated; new sales are effectively illegal without rare documented exceptions. Imitation ivory grips are resin or acrylic engineered to match the color and finish. That’s what ivory grips means almost everywhere today, including here.
Do you carry 1911 ivory G10 grips or ivory micarta grips?
Not right now. Our ivory line is acrylic and resin. For G10 specifically, check our G10 Grips category instead.
Will ivory grips for 1911 fit my exact gun model?
Every listing states which frame and model it fits. Ivory 1911 pistol grips generally fit Government-model clones across Colt, Rock Island, Remington, and Taurus. Ivory grip revolver sets are model-specific, so check the listing for Heritage Rough Rider, Ruger Wrangler, or S&W J-Frame compatibility first.
Do ivory grips need special care?
Not beyond normal use. Wipe clean, skip harsh solvents on the finish, and they’ll hold their color without the yellowing or cracking real ivory develops over time.
