Rosewood Bird’s Head grips for the Heritage Rough Rider, built specifically for the Bird’s Head grip frame, the rounded, curved-butt profile inspired by classic Colt Single Action Army Bird’s Head designs. Made for Heritage Arms .22 LR and .22 Magnum owners who run the Bird’s Head frame, not the standard square-butt.
Cut from laminated rosewood and CNC-shaped to the Bird’s Head Heritage Rough Rider frame. Bird’s Head geometry sits lower in the hand than the standard frame, which shifts recoil into the meat of the palm and gives a more compact, concealable carry profile. Rosewood laminate is more dimensionally stable than solid wood across temperature and humidity shifts, important for a revolver grip that sees outdoor use.
Fitment: Bird’s Head frame Rough Rider only. Works on 6-shot and 9-shot configurations in both .22 LR and .22 Magnum. Does not fit the standard square-butt Rough Rider, that uses different geometry and requires dedicated panels. Does not fit the Heritage Barkeep. If your revolver has a flat-bottom grip, you need the standard-frame version, not this one.
