Description
Custom Heritage Rough Rider grips in European walnut with a laser-carved checkered face and an inlaid Buffalo Nickel medallion set into each panel. Built for Heritage Arms .22 LR and .22 Magnum owners who want a piece of Americana on their single-action revolver, the Buffalo Nickel (minted 1913–1938) is one of the most recognized coins in U.S. history and reads naturally against the warm grain of walnut.
Cut from solid walnut and CNC-shaped to the standard square-butt Heritage Rough Rider frame. The checkered pattern is laser-carved into the wood face, sharper detail and cleaner edges than rolled or stamped checkering, which holds positive grip texture over years of handling.
Walnut has tighter grain and warmer color than rosewood, giving the panels a vintage Americana look that pairs especially well with blued and case-hardened Rough Rider finishes.
The Buffalo Nickel medallion is inlaid flush into the panel face, not surface-bonded, it won’t catch cleaning patches, loosen under holster wear, or pop loose with temperature shifts. The detail level on the reproduction matches the original 1913 James Earle Fraser design.
Fitment: standard square-butt Heritage Rough Rider frame only. Works on 6-shot and 9-shot configurations in both .22 LR and .22 Magnum SA models. Does not fit Bird’s Head Rough Riders or the Heritage Barkeep, those need dedicated panels.
Ships with installation screw in a display gift box. Backed by a 30-day fit guarantee from a shop with 50,000+ pistol grips sold to American gun owners. For frame-fit guidance, see our Rough Rider upgrade guide.

What gun grips fit my pistol or revolver model?
Every grip listing in our shop specifies the exact brand, frame, and model it fits. Browse by manufacturer to find grips made specifically for your firearm.
Which gun grip material should I choose for my shooting style?
Rosewood and walnut work best for collectors. G10 is ideal for competitive shooters. Rubber suits high-recoil and rapid-fire use.
Can I return my gun grips if they don't fit or I'm not satisfied?
Yes. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If your grips don’t fit, arrive damaged, or aren’t what you expected, return them in original packaging for a replacement or full refund.
Can gun shops buy grips wholesale or in bulk?
Yes. We offer wholesale pricing for retailers and distributors with no large minimum order required.
How long does shipping take on gun grips?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Most customers across the US receive their order within 4–5 business days.
Are gun grips easy to install at home?
Yes. Most sets ship with mounting hardware included. No gunsmith needed most installations that take under 10 minutes with a basic screwdriver.
What are the best gun grips for concealed carry?
Slim wood or ABS grip panels work best for concealed carry. They keep your profile low, prevent printing, and won’t snag on clothing during your draw.
