Description
There’s a place for aggressive checkering, and there’s a place for stippling. There’s also a place for a clean rosewood panel that lets the wood speak for itself. These rosewood 1911 grips are the third kind, polished flat across the face, anchored by a gold Colt rampant horse medallion seated flush at the top of each side, shaped to drop straight onto any Government-spec 1911 frame.
Smooth panels solve problems that aggressive textures create. They don’t carry cover garments during a daily-carry draw. They don’t abrade holster leather over years of use. They don’t chew up your shooting hand on a long session at the range. The grain of the rosewood itself provides natural friction, enough for positive grip, not enough to wear at clothing or skin. For shooters who carry daily or shoot long range sessions, smooth makes sense the way a worn-in pair of boots makes sense.
The gold Colt medallion is metal, inlaid flush below the panel surface, not surface-glued and not printed on the wood face. It survives bore solvent, oil, and cleaning patches through years of normal handling without lifting, fading, or staining the rosewood around it.
Installation runs five minutes with a hex driver. Loosen the four factory grip screws, lift the old panels off, set the rosewood in place, tighten back down. Standard 3-1/16″ screw spacing, ambi safety cut included. No fitting, no gunsmith.
Rosewood is the right wood for a smooth-finish 1911 grip. It takes a deep polish that doesn’t dull through normal handling, develops a subtle patina as hand oils settle into the surface across the first year of use, and stays dimensionally stable across the temperature swings a carry pistol actually sees. The natural grain pattern means no two panel sets are identical, your grips won’t match anyone else’s on the line at the range.
Made in North Carolina. 30-day return window if the panels don’t seat flush on your pistol.

Every grip listing in our shop specifies the exact brand, frame, and model it fits. Browse by manufacturer to find grips made specifically for your firearm.
Which gun grip material should I choose for my shooting style?
Rosewood and walnut work best for collectors. G10 is ideal for competitive shooters. Rubber suits high-recoil and rapid-fire use.
Can I return my gun grips if they don't fit or I'm not satisfied?
Yes. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If your grips don’t fit, arrive damaged, or aren’t what you expected, return them in original packaging for a replacement or full refund.

How long does shipping take on gun grips?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Most customers across the US receive their order within 4–5 business days.

Yes. Most sets ship with mounting hardware included. No gunsmith needed most installations that take under 10 minutes with a basic screwdriver.
What are the best gun grips for concealed carry?
Slim wood or ABS grip panels work best for concealed carry. They keep your profile low, prevent printing, and won’t snag on clothing during your draw.
