Description
These 1911 Texas grips run an overlapping dragon scale carving across the face of each black rosewood panel, capped with an inlaid Texas Star medallion at the top. Built for Texas shooters who want the state’s mark on their carry pistol, veterans of Texas-based service, and anyone who’s spent time there and wants the design on a serious Colt 1911 build. The Texas Star medallion sits flush below the panel surface, not glued on top. It survives oil, bore solvent, and the kind of holster contact a daily carry pistol sees over years of wear without lifting at the edges.Installation runs five minutes with a hex driver. Loosen the four factory grip screws, lift the old panels off, set the rosewood in place, tighten the screws back down. Standard 3-1/16″ screw spacing, ambi safety cut included. No fitting work.Fitment covers the full-size single-stack 1911 family, Colt Government, Colt Commander, Kimber, Springfield Armory, Ruger SR1911, Smith & Wesson SW1911, Remington R1, Sig 1911, Rock Island, GSG, and Taurus 1911. These 1911 Texas grips won’t seat on Officer-size or compact 1911s (those use shorter screw spacing), 2011 double-stacks, or magwell-cut competition pistols.Black rosewood is the right body wood for this build. It’s dense enough to hold the dragon scale carving cleanly through years of handling, dark enough to give the Texas Star real contrast against the wood, and stable across the temperature ranges a carry pistol actually sees. If you want the same dragon scale rosewood build with a different medallion — black Punisher skull, Colt rampant horse, Ruger logo — those run as separate listings in the 1911 category.Made in North Carolina. 30-day return window if the panels don’t seat flush on your pistol.

Which gun grip material should I choose for my shooting style?
Rosewood and walnut work best for collectors. G10 is ideal for competitive shooters. Rubber suits high-recoil and rapid-fire use.

How long does shipping take on gun grips?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Most customers across the US receive their order within 4–5 business days.

Slim wood or ABS grip panels work best for concealed carry. They keep your profile low, prevent printing, and won’t snag on clothing during your draw.
