1911 Replacement Grips for Colt and Clones – Black Rosewood, Dragon Scales, Black Colt Medallion

These 1911 replacement grips are built for Colt Government owners and Government-spec clone shooters who want carved wood on their pistol instead of the factory panels. Black rosewood body, overlapping dragon scale carving across the full panel face, and a black Colt medallion inlaid flush at the top of each side. Every element is verifiable before you order, the wood is solid black rosewood, the carving goes into the wood surface, and the medallion is metal seated below the panel plane.

Dragon scale carving on black rosewood holds its depth differently than on lighter woods. The grain is dense enough at the surface level to keep the scale edges sharp through years of carry, range use, and cleaning without the micro-compression that rounds off carved detail on softer materials. The black Colt medallion runs matte-finished, dark against dark wood, recognizable at close range without announcing itself across a room.

The medallion is inlaid, not surface-bonded. It doesn’t catch on cleaning patches, doesn’t admit solvent at a bond line, and won’t work loose under the mechanical stress of regular holster draw cycles.
