Description
Replacement 1911 grip panels in checkered rosewood, diamond checkering across the face, an acrylic pearl accent strip inlaid through the middle, and an eagle medallion seated flush at the top of each side. Three elements on one panel, each doing a specific job. The checkering locks the pistol into the shooting hand under recoil. The pearl accent breaks the rosewood face visually, pulling the eye up the panel toward the medallion. The eagle anchors the design at the top without competing with the checkering or the pearl below it.
Rosewood holds checkering sharp because the grain is dense enough at the surface level to resist the compression that rounds off diamond points on softer woods over years of carry and range use. The pearl accent is solid acrylic pearl cut to the exact thickness of the channel routed into the rosewood, not a surface overlay, not a painted strip. Color runs uniform through the full material depth. The eagle medallion is metal, inlaid below the panel surface rather than bonded on top. It doesn’t catch on cleaning patches at the edge and doesn’t admit solvent at a bond line under normal holster use.
Fitment: These 1911 grip panels fit the full-size single-stack 1911 family: Colt Government, Colt Commander, Kimber, Springfield Armory, Ruger SR1911, Smith & Wesson SW1911, Remington R1, Sig 1911, Rock Island, GSG, and Taurus 1911. Standard 3-1/16″ screw spacing. Ambi safety cut included. Officer frames, compact 1911s, 2011 double-stacks, and magwell-cut competition pistols use different geometry — panels ordered for the wrong frame won’t seat and cannot be modified to fit.
Four grip screws out with a hex driver. Old panels off. Rosewood panels on. Screws back in. Five minutes. No fitting, no gunsmith.
If you want this same checkered rosewood pearl build on black rosewood instead of standard rosewood, or with a different medallion, those run as separate listings in the 1911 grip panels category. 30-day returns if panels don’t seat flush on your pistol.
