Description
The factory grips on the M200 and M206 never sit flush against the frame and feel cheap from day one. Rock Island M200 M206 rosewood grips replace them completely — better fit, better feel, and noticeably better control from the first shot.
The material matters. Laminate rosewood is layered hardwood pressed in layers for extra strength and durability. The warm grain finish looks great and only gets better over time. This isn’t just about looks — it holds up through regular use.
The oversize wrap-around profile is the real upgrade. The full wrap fills your palm properly. The checkered texture keeps your hand locked in place under recoil. No shifting. No readjusting between shots. Shooters consistently say it transforms the feel of the entire gun.
Know your model before ordering. On the M206, these are the larger oversize version. On the M200, they fit well and sit fuller than the original plastic grips. They are not the same size as the standard checkered version. Browse our full Rock Island revolver grips collection to compare all options for your model.
Every set of Rock Island M200 M206 rosewood grips includes the mounting screw and stud and comes in a gift box — ready to use or give as a gift. Installation takes under two minutes, no gunsmithing required.
One customer brought his M206 into the gun shop where he originally bought it. The staff inspected the grips and said he wished Rock Island shipped them this way from the factory.

These are really nice, and change shooting this revolver from a chore to fun. Great finish, Great fit. Great feel. The grips that come with the gun are good for kindling wood at best, and the plastic grips never fit correctly. Color me happy.

I took a chance on this one since it is not well known. Once I received the grips, I could not believe the quality. I took the weapon to the gun shop I purchased it from and showed it to the guys behind the counter. They inspected it, looked at the grips, how they were made, put together. Once guy was so impressed he said it made the weapon feel so much different, more comfortable and worth buying. He even mentioned he wished other companies made grips like these. If RIA used these grips on their M200’s from the factory, they just might sell more of them. The grips changed the whole look and feel of the weapon. The grips are cut out of one solid block of wood.
